Sweet Pickins' with Mick Harrington

Event Details

A fantastic way to kick off the strawberry picking season, this four-hour, family-friendly event promises fun, entertainment, and, of course, plenty of strawberries to pick!

Local rising stars Mitch Salan and Maggie Lawrence will set the scene with their unique voices before our headline act, acclaimed Australian artist Mick Harrington—runner-up on The Voice 2021—takes the stage as part of his Australian Songbook Tour. With a repertoire celebrating the works of Paul Kelly, Crowded House, Goanna, John Williamson, Men at Work, and more, this performance will deliver a culturally rich and distinctly Australian experience in an iconic rural setting. This is Mick’s only live performance in Wagga Wagga, so it’s definitely not to be missed!

For the first time, attendees are welcome to bring homemade picnic dinners in reusable containers, or you can purchase food, drinks, and desserts from our farm café and licensed bar. Enjoy sausage sandwiches, steak sandwiches, and hamburgers, and refill reusable drink bottles at the water station. To align with our goals of reducing waste at the event, we ask you to adhere to our requests when planning your picnic.​​​​​

General Admission – What’s Included

  • Entry to the farm from 3:30 - 8:00pm

  • Live performances from all artists

  • Access to the pick-your-own strawberry experience 4:00-6:30pm (with a purchased punnet)

  • Sunset picnic zones

  • Bidgee café open for sweet treats and snacks

  • Access to the bar 18+ only

  • Family-friendly fun with space to relax, dance and explore

  • General Admission:

Adult $45 

Child Under 15yrs $10.00

Child Under 4yrs free but must have a ticket

Upgrade to VIP

Treat yourself to an elevated experience with a VIP ticket, which includes:

  • A complimentary drink on arrival

  • A $20 café voucher

  • A punnet to pick your own strawberries

  • Reserved VIP seating

  • A gift pack

$80 per person, 18+ only (Limited spots available)

Need to Know

  • Gates open at 3:30pm 

  • This is an outdoor event, dress for the weather!

  • Bring your own chair, blanket, shade structure

  • Strawberry picking from 3:30-6:30pm (containers must be purchased before gaining access to the picking field)

  • Children must be supervised at all times.

  • No pets permitted (working assistance dogs welcome)

  • Bar open 4:00-7:30pm

  • BBQ from 4:30pm

  • Food and drink are available for purchase

  • BYO homemade picnic in reusable containers

  • Strictly no NO BYO alcohol, beverages, takeaway, or any other pre-prepared or fast food is permitted.
