Tours

Our team has been developing our educational experiences to suit better the varying age groups that visit our farm. We have colouring in for the littlies right through to scavenger hunts and guided educational tours of the strawberries for others. There are bee hives, sheep to visit, a scar tree to look inside, and a massive red gum tree that the children can see how many it takes to fit around the whole tree. There are two options available for groups: 1. An educational tour: $22/person (Minimum cost $300/group) The tour includes: - an educational experience by a qualified expert suited to the needs of the group, - colouring in, find-a-word, dot-to-dot, quiz or scavenger hunt (provided based on age group), - the opportunity to pick a small punnet of strawberries and - a choice of one of the following (i) small ice cream or (ii) small sorbet 2. Non-educational tour: $12/person plus a minimum of one large punnet for $25 per group. More punnets may be purchased. This option includes: - entry to the strawberry patch - a choice of one of the following (i) small ice cream or (ii) small sorbet It is best suited for preschool, kindergarten, and special needs groups (any age). For preschoolers, a minimum of one adult between three children is required to assist with the picking to ensure plants are cared for. Adults are not charged to enter and can purchase food and drinks from the cafe. We recommend you allow between one and two hours for the experience at the farm. If you choose to come during lunchtime, the children can bring their lunch for a picnic. We have a cafe area with tables and chairs. We don’t charge the teachers accompanying the students for the tour (the option to purchase items is available).
